If you love bacon, this one’s for you! Townsquare Media announces the return of the Sun City Bacon Fest, at Wet N’ Wild Waterworld, Sunday, September 5, 10 a.m. The event takes place under the Big Canopy & Pavilion outside of the Wet N’ Wild gates, featuring local restaurants and food trucks serving up a variety of bacon-inspired treats and sweets! Included on the menu are Bacon Burgers, Bacon Pizza, Bacon Tacos, Bacon Ice Cream, Bacon Fries, Candied Bacon and so much more!
Bacon-inspired activities for this hog-wild event include “Baconoki,” where contestants can sing to win prizes; a pigskin to win football throwing competition; plus, sign up to win prizes including UTEP Football tickets, a trip to see the Dallas Cowboys, tickets to El Paso Chihuahua games, and more! Official merchandise, such as pig noses, official Sun City Bacon Fest T-shirts and more will also be available. Inside the park, there will be live music on the Western Tech Main Stage, featuring Sizzling Jim and the Baking Bacon Band, and Radio Altivo.
Admission is free to the outside event, though parking passes are $2. Admission to the park is $34.95. While ticket supplies last, there’s even a Bacon Fest VIP Experience, where attendees can ride the rides and get freebies like two bacon food samples, a pig nose, an official Sun City Bacon Fest T-shirt, a Wet N’ Wild tube and a parking pass.
