The Museum ROCKS! Gem & Mineral Show brings together wholesale and resale dealers of both cut and uncut gemstones, rocks, minerals, fossils, jewelry, and jewelry-making supplies. A long-time regional favorite, the gem and mineral show is a great value for the entire family. The New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum (NMFRHM) hosts The Museum Rocks! Gem and Mineral Show, February 22 and 23, 2025.
The event takes place in various locations throughout the NMFRHM, including the Ventanas, Tortugas and Rio Hondo rooms, the Organ View Terrace, the back hallway and the courtyard. Vendors in 2024 included Rockhounds, Designs by Globug, Amber America, Fenns Gems & Minerals, ABJ Jewelry, Gallery Ethnica, TCMB Design, Rubicon Pendulums, Treasures of the Earth, Frank Parrish, the Department of Geological Sciences, Wild Horse Mesa Studio, and many more.
Also included in the show is the popular Zuhl Collection, from the Zuhl Museum on campus. Educational information is very much a part of the show. Young geologists and paleontologists will enjoy the exhibits of prehistoric life and natural processes. Visit the Zuhl booth to learn about the collection, touch some actual specimens and do some fun activities. Fossils, meteorites, petrified wood and bones, and other rock stars will be on display throughout the weekend!
The event is hosted by the Friends of the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum, sponsored by Frank Parrish, and run by 360 Events, LLC and the Friends of the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum. The Cowboy Grill will be back, but check the Museum ROCKS! Gem & Mineral Show website to see which other food vendors will be at the 2025 event.
