Café de Mesilla is full of handmade art, jewelry, and more made by local and indigenous artists that you can peruse while waiting for your cup of joe. The Bean de Mesilla and The Bean at Josefina’s both showcase local artists’ unique work bringing to life an atmosphere of creativity.

While you’re in Mesilla, stop by La Posta de Mesilla. This long-time local favorite is in a historic building and no only offers delicious food and top-notch margaritas, you can shop in the gift shop and take home something special. Be sure to visit with the birds in the lobby aviary!

You can never go wrong with locally made spirits. Dry Point Distillery serves the Mesilla Valley New Mexico-made gin, vodka, whiskey, and bourbon and is dedicated to staying local. If an ingredient can’t be sourced in New Mexico, owner Chris Shaeffer always supports small farmers. Their motto “farm to liver” really rings true. A night of tasting handcrafted cocktails or a bottle for the house are great gift options.

Get a growler at Icebox Brewing or Blue Moon, pop a bow on it, and you have the perfect party-starting gift for any occasion. Of course, many locally owned area restaurants offer gift cards that make a great gift!
