The Rio Grande Theatre presents the 1964 cold war classic, Dr. Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, Saturday, July 24, 2021, 7 p.m. Part of the Classic Film Series, Dr. Strangelove is a black comedy and political satire from director Stanley Kubrick that spoofs the Cold War fears of a nuclear conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union. Peter Sellars plays three roles alongside George C. Scott, Sterling Hayden, Keenan Wynn, Slim Pickens and James Earl Jones. Rated PG with a running time of 1 hour and 35 minutes. Tickets are $5 at the door, or can be purchased via the website. Concessions served, including popcorn, snacks, refreshments, beer, wine and spirits.
