Ready to get the kids out of the house after literally months of lockdown? Centennial High School has announced its athletic Summer Youth Camps, taking place throughout the month of June. Whether its basketball, football or volleyball, the program offers athletic staff-run fun for grades 1 thru 8, focusing on individual skill development and team play. Each camper will need to bring their own water and mask each day. Costs vary, so contact the program coordinators to get more information, or visit the website where reservations are available.
It all starts with the Boys Basketball Youth Camp, taking place June 1-3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Centennial gym. Age range is 2nd to 8th grades. Snack and lunch will be provided. The Lady Hawks Hoops Camp, directed by coach Louie Laborin and his staff, will take place June 14-16, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Centennial gym. Age range is 1st to 8th grades. Each camper will receive their own basketball and t-shirt. Daily awards will be handed out and snacks will be provided. For more information, contact coach Laborin at [email protected].
The Centennial Vollyball Summer Camp will take place June 22-24, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Centennial gym. Age range is 3rd to 8th grades. Each camper will develop the skill of the sport of volleyball in a fun and competitive environment. Camp t-shirts and snacks will be provided. The Centennial Youth Football Camp, under the direction of Head Football Coach Aaron Ocampo, will take place June 21-24, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Age range is K to 8th grades. Camp activities include defensive and offensive skill work, weight room seminar, 7 on 7 games and more. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt and lunch, but must bring their own t-shirt and shorts, hat and sunscreen, cleats and court shoes and a cloth mask for face.
